I ordered my Credential from a Canadian group called the Canadian Company of Pilgrims (of which I am now a member!) - if it hadn't arrived on time I would have purchased one at St. Jean Pied du Port for 10 Euros. Included with my Credential was a crest which I have stitched to my backpack.
Looking for adventure in the ordinary, this Gran, Mom, wife and daughter sets out to find it. Sometimes I'm travelling on my own, sometimes I have company. Come along with me to some interesting places close to home … in beautiful Alberta … and far away too!

Just about ready ...
Yesterday my "Credential" arrived in the mail. A Credential is a pilgrim's "passport" of sorts, it identifies you as someone who is either walking, cycling or on horseback with a destination of Santiago. Each place that you stay along the Camino, the hostels or "albergues" have a stamp with which they mark your passport. This is a photo of a credential with a number of stamps. Mine is actually a little passport sized book with several pages in it.
