Taronga

Destiny organized our attendance at this special zoo walk, posh dinner thingy at the world famous Taronga Zoo.  And wow, am I ever glad that I said, "sure, it's only money and when will we get a chance to do that again?!" (actually, seems that I say that a lot - I may be coming home quite broke!)  Taronga was one of the highlights of the trip so far - and the following photos will show you why.  I may split the post into two parts so it can upload all the pics a little easier.  I'll be sending mostly photos, and not so much text - so that'll make it easier on all the readers!

Taronga is across the harbour from the part of Sydney we are in, so the ferry took us past the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and ...

The Sydney Opera House (it's beautiful from all he angles).

First step - gondola to the 'top' - not exactly a mountain, but a nice way to get an aerial view of elephants ...

And then, once at the top, we had about 15 minutes before our guided tour and function began, so we saw some of these shy fellows.

Sadly we didn't get to pet one ... and they look so pettable.

And then the guided tour was about to start ...
